davide-bramante-exhibition

Exhibition curated by Manuela Valentini and Olivia Spatola, in collaboration with Anna Marra Gallery, Rome

https://www.galleriaannamarra.com

Davide Bramante has worked and lived in Turin, Rome, Bologna, Milan, London and New York. After graduating at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti of Turin (1995), he began to travel between Italy and the United States. In 1998 and 1999 he won two scholarships at the prestigious Franklin Fournace Foundation and participates in a group exhibition at the MOMA in New York.
Since 1991 he experiments with various media: video (from 1992 to 1995 with the Group ANDA he has developed interactive video installations and more than 20 video works); materic installations; environmental installations such as Isola dei Pirati, realized in one night for the streets in Venice with 2000 pirate flags.
He has made more than seventy solo and group shows held in museums, foundations and galleries around the world, including Galleria di Arte Moderna in Sarajevo (1998), Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice (1999), Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome (2001), GAM in Bologna (2001), Palazzo delle Papesse in Siena (2003), KunstHaus Tacheles in Berlin (2005), Palazzo della Permanente in Milan (2006), Palazzo Re Enzo in Bologna (2009), PAN in Naples (2012), Schauwerk Foundation in Sindelfingen (2013), Museo di Trastevere in Rome, (2014) Bongsan Cultural Center in Busan/Korea (2014).
In 2018 he is the winner of Canova Prize (Art Business).
He has participated in numerous fairs, including Art Basel, Art Cologne, Artissima, MiArt, ARCO, FIAC, Palm Beach 3, Paris Photo, MIA&D Fair Singapore.
His artworks are in important public and private collections, among them GAM in Torino, Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Palermo, Castello Sforzesco in Vigevano, Schauwerk Foundation, Unicredit, Credem.
Today Davide Bramante is internationally recognized for its large format photos portraying metropolitan cities around the world, made with the analogue technique of the multiple exposure during shooting, result of multiple shots - from four to nine - on the same frame.
Always the artist tries to live within his work the three things he loves most: art, photography and travel. He lives and works in Syracuse.

Galleria Anna Marra, active since 2013, has become an increasingly important presence in the contemporary art sector.
Located in the Rome’s ancient Jewish Ghetto, the space’s minimalist architecture is its main characteristic. This impression is mirrored in the choice of exhibitions it hosts, only those which are the most essential and rigorous in their artistic research.
The Gallery focuses on valorising emerging and middle career talents, it promotes by organising exhibitions both in its own exhibition spaces and in public institutions. To create its exhibitions it avails itself of scientific contributions from external curators with which each project is elaborated, as well as through the publication of dedicated monographs and catalogues and participation in art fairs.
Then as had been the gallery’s intention right from the beginning, though still maintaining its attentive eye on Italian art, whose artists represent a high cultural level in the international scene, it brought to Italy the work of artists who had travelled different artistic paths.
Thanks to collaboratory agreements with galleries and curators in New York in 2016 it started a cycle of exhibitions dedicated to American artists active on the New York scene.
Galleria Anna Marra is part of Artughet, an Association that brings together the galleries located in the Jewish Ghetto in Rome.

Tenuta dell'Ammiraglia is situated in Magliano, Tuscany, in the heart of the Maremma in an area of great potential for the production of high-quality wines. The wine cellar of the estate originates from the project of Piero Sartogo and today represents a temple of design serving the production of quality, respect and integration with the environment
Its vineyards paint suggestive geometries on the hills until they brush against the nearby Tyrrhenian coast. In this area, the amount of sun and light reaches very high levels, and combining with sea breezes, creates particularly favourable conditions. In order to enhance the unique character of this area, a rain-fed basin was also constructed which collects water and allows the vineyards to be guaranteed a crisp environment during the driest months. The combination of all these factors gives the wines of the Ammiraglia exceptional variety and richness of aromas, unique in the Maremma.
